How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry?
I've always had a love for drawing, creating & art supplies! I was asked by a Lancaster wedding vendor if I could hand letter a few wedding chalkboards for a customer of theirs. That was about six years ago. I am so blessed to now be part of an amazing group of vendors in the Lancaster wedding community. Through my design work I was connected with Planned Perfection and starting assisting. I love being able to be a team member on these specials days, as well as being able to create for them as well.
Unknown fact, way back when, in my college days, I worked special events on campus. I addressed envelopes and wrote calligraphy name tags for the University President's events. Funny how some things come full circle.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
That's a tough one. So many choices! I think it would be seeing the guests hit the dance floor. Everyone sharing in celebration of the couple. Watching joy and happiness fill the room. Knowing the setup is done and this is when everyone can let go and enjoy the night!
When you aren’t lining up the bridal party and refilling the candy bar, what can we find you doing?
Juggling home, family & design. I am a mother of two, ages 17 and 22 and I have been married for 23 years! Most of my time is spent creating hand lettering art as Chit Chat Design, custom made to order pieces for wedding, events and home designs. If I'm not designing or maintaining the home, you can find my nose in a book, my toes in the sand and always a coffee mug in my hand.
