When did you join the Planned Perfection team?
I joined Planned Perfection in the summer of 2012.
How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry?
My sister’s wedding is when it started. Helping her with her wedding as the maid of honor gave me my first real exposure to wedding planning. She enlisted Planned Perfection for day of coordination. After my sister’s wedding was over, I wanted to continue working in the industry so I reached out to Jonnaysa and asked how I could get involved. Soon after that I was starting an internship with the team!
Favorite current or upcoming wedding trend?
I am a fan of bridal fashion from leather jackets and capes to floral patterns and two pieces. It is fun to see everyone’s personality.
What is your favorite part of the planning process?
It takes time to plan and a lot of hands to make the bride and groom’s vision a reality. After much anticipation, I enjoy seeing the couples reaction. Major highlights for me are first looks and dancing in the center of guests.
Best piece of advice for a newly engaged couple starting to plan their wedding?
Recently married, my advice is to tell your story and personalize the wedding day. Great advice that was given to my husband and I was that the reception should feel like a dinner party within your own home.
At the end of it all, lean on each other for support, make decisions together, and share the joys of this milestone in your life!
Favorite reception song? The one you dance to in the back when no one is watching...
All of Planned Perfection knows I cannot resist it and will dance to the wobble!
Peonies! They look so pretty in bouquets and in centerpieces.
When you aren’t creating timelines and alphabetizing escort cards, what can we find you doing?
Being a dog mom (I may be obsessed with my fur baby)!
After long days, my husband and I like to rest by watching movies.
