When did you join the Planned Perfection team?

I joined Planned Perfection in the summer of 2012.

How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry?

My sister’s wedding is when it started. Helping her with her wedding as the maid of honor gave me my first real exposure to wedding planning. She enlisted Planned Perfection for day of coordination. After my sister’s wedding was over, I wanted to continue working in the industry so I reached out to Jonnaysa and asked how I could get involved. Soon after that I was starting an internship with the team!

Favorite current or upcoming wedding trend?

I am a fan of bridal fashion from leather jackets and capes to floral patterns and two pieces. It is fun to see everyone’s personality.

What is your favorite part of the planning process?

It takes time to plan and a lot of hands to make the bride and groom’s vision a reality. After much anticipation, I enjoy seeing the couples reaction. Major highlights for me are first looks and dancing in the center of guests.

Best piece of advice for a newly engaged couple starting to plan their wedding?

Recently married, my advice is to tell your story and personalize the wedding day. Great advice that was given to my husband and I was that the reception should feel like a dinner party within your own home.

At the end of it all, lean on each other for support, make decisions together, and share the joys of this milestone in your life!

Favorite reception song? The one you dance to in the back when no one is watching...

All of Planned Perfection knows I cannot resist it and will dance to the wobble!

Favorite flower?

Peonies! They look so pretty in bouquets and in centerpieces.

When you aren’t creating timelines and alphabetizing escort cards, what can we find you doing?

Being a dog mom (I may be obsessed with my fur baby)!

After long days, my husband and I like to rest by watching movies.

When did you join the Planned Perfection team? I joined Planned Perfection in 2008.

How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry? I went to meet with the on site coordinators for my wedding at my wedding venue.  I didn't like the ideas or processes that they suggested for my wedding.  I wanted to do it differently and better, so I went online and started researching ideas.  This was 17 years ago, so there weren't as many resources as there are today.  I found some online courses that had a lot of great information and ideas, but I needed to take the classes to get the information.  The deeper that I got into the courses the more I realized I really liked the work.

Favorite current or upcoming wedding trend? I love florals, so I am just in awe of all the hanging floral ladders, floral chandeliers, and floral garlands!  They are so pretty and elegant!

Any trend you’d like to see left in 2018? Asking for cash, whether it's to help pay for their wedding or use toward their honeymoon.  I just feel like it's in poor taste.

What is your favorite part of the planning process? I like getting to know my couples, it's great to make a connection and feel like I am truly helping to make their wedding day be all that they want it to be!

Best piece of advice for a newly engaged couple starting to plan their wedding? Communication and Honesty are SO SO important, not just in the wedding planning process-but for their married life!

Favorite reception song? The one you dance to in the back when no one is watching...Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline, B52's Love Shack, Lynyrd Skynyrd's Sweet Home Alabama

Favorite flower? Peonies are my all time favorite!

When you aren’t creating timelines and alphabetizing escort cards, what can we find you doing? I volunteer during the school year at my children's schools often during the week.  I also love spending time at the beach!

When did you join the Planned Perfection team?

How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry?

Ashley joined Planned Perfection in 2015 after being a Planned Perfection bride!  She has always had a love for design, decor and details.

While I was planning my own wedding (I had already contracted Planned Perfection) Jonnaysa posted that she was looking for interns for the current wedding season.  I set up an interview.  She had me interview with Diana, since she kind of already knew me.  I got married on May of 2015 and started interning in June.

Favorite current or upcoming wedding trend?

I'm loving the floral backdrops I have been seeing lately, whether it is a full flower wall or flowers and greenery dripping down almost like a curtain.

Any trend you’d like to see left in 2018?

I would love to see couples start to incorporate bolder colors.

What is your favorite part of the planning process?

For Day of clients, I love when I get their questionnaires back and go over their set up details and can start seeing their day as they do

For planning clients, I love the design aspect.  Hearing how they see their day, looking at their Pinterest pictures and putting it all together with local vendors.

Best piece of advice for a newly engaged couple starting to plan their wedding?

Envision how you want to FEEL and the ambiance you want around you at different points of the day and build everything around that.

Favorite reception song? The one you dance to in the back when no one is watching...

I'm always down for a good Beyoncé song, but lately I catch myself when 24K Magic by Bruno Mars comes on.

Favorite flower?

Right now I am obsessed with Protea flowers.  I believe there is a King Protea and a Queen Protea.

When you aren’t creating timelines and alphabetizing escort cards, what can we find you doing?

I just moved into Lancaster City in June of 2018, so I am exploring the city...the restaurants, the market, the art and music scene, the coffee shops!

When did you join the Planned Perfection team? I joined Planned Perfection in 2011.

How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry? I love weddings, people, details, lists and organizing! I started researching how I could use my interests/strengths in a career and I discovered the ever growing wedding industry. I got my Wedding and Event Planner certification in 2011 and haven’t looked back!

Favorite current or upcoming wedding trend? I love fun lounges! Food trucks for desserts and late night snacks are pretty great too!

Any trend you’d like to see left in 2018? Burlap

What is your favorite part of the planning process? I love bringing all the details together, the relationships built during this planning process. I love the excitement of the event coming to life and making sure my couples are taken care of so they can relax and enjoy their most important day. I also love when clients put personal touches into their wedding details—meet at a ball game? Have a hot dog cart for late night bites! Table names of the places you’ve traveled, your grandmothers dress lace around your bouquet, I love those details.

Best piece of advice for a newly engaged couple starting to plan their wedding? Be true to yourself throughout the planning process! This is your day! If you don’t want to wear white, don’t!

Favorite reception song? The one you dance to in the back when no one is watching... “I wanna dance with somebody” gets me everytime!

Favorite flower? I’m a classic peony kind of girl. A flower cutting garden in my backyard is my 2019 goal!

When you aren’t creating timelines and alphabetizing escort cards, what can we find you doing? I love spending time with my husband Chris and son Caden. I spend as much time with them as possible. We love to go on cruises and day trips! When we aren’t traveling we try to relax at home working on our little fixer upper house!

When did you join the Planned Perfection team?

I joined the Planned Perfection in 2016 during my last semester of college.

How did you get involved in the wedding and event industry?

Having a mom who is a florist I grew up around weddings. I helped her at her flower shop all throughout high school and college and got to assist her with lots of weddings.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

My favorite part of the wedding day is helping the bride down the aisle. I love being able to see her excitement before the I do’s and helping fluff her train before sending her down the aisle.

When you aren’t lining up the bridal party and refilling the candy bar, what can we find you doing?

You can also find me working at Blush Bridal. I am a manager there and help brides find their dress for their big day! If you couldn’t tell I love all things wedding! When I’m not working though I love to travel and explore new places.
